Shortly after making his debut on Cr2 Records with “City On A Hill,” 21 year old Canadian producer Moiez is back with another progressive gem. This time around, Moiez Babar takes on (our favorite twin duo) Milk N Cookies’ electro bomb “Mastodon” featuring Alina Renae on the vocals. Moiez gives the original a healthy portion of his uplifting, progressive vibes which really draw out the vocals. This remix certainly takes the icing on the cake amongst the 4 track remix EP. Fresh off their internationally supported “Animals” remix by the veteran likes of Hardwell, Afrojack, Nicky Romero and more, Chicago identical twin duo Milk N Cookies release their debut EP titled Fresh Out Of The Oven.
The 2 track EP begins with their behemoth original “Mastodon”. The track was initially to include vocals buy Josh Reynolds, but the guys felt Alina Renae was a more suitable vocalist. The “old ass elephant” drop is enough to melt your face off and more. The 2nd track “Fall Semester” seeks to recover your face with its soothing progressive melodies. The track tore apart festivals left and right, and helped the 17 year-old crack this year’s Top 100 DJ’s at the #40 position. As expected, the remix and bootleg ship set sail immediately after its release. I compiled a list of a few notable edits, ones you can rage too and ones you will certainly get a kick out of. Fresh off their stellar remake of Martin Garrix’s “Animals,” which drew support from Hardwell and other verteran, Chicago duo Milk N Cookies preview their next original production titled “Mastodon.” Premiered in their North Coast Music Festival recap video, the original stems off a powerful lead that drops into some massive, flaring synth work. Yesterday, the twins shared a live preview of the vocals, courtesy of Josh Reynolds. No release date yet; I’m hoping a label picks this one up. I know I would.
Our boys Milk N Cookies preview their next release in their Summer Kickoff video. The twins take Martin Garrix’s chart-topping “Animals” and rework the minimalistic drop into an absolute bomb. No word on a release yet so stay tuned!
