FF017May is here and if you haven’t been gearing your music up for the summer, it’s crunch time! Here are some songs I definitely look forward to resurrecting from the past in the coming weeks as the weather warms up.

Crookers – Put Your Hands On Me (feat. Kardinal Offishall) [Black Noise Dub Remix]

This one’s not at your usual 128 BPM, and it’s not slower than that either. Crookers keeps the heart rate high with a combination of an old-school techno beat and a wave-y synth, which is the “black noise.” Straight banger from 2009.

Michael Woods – Airborne (Original Mix)

Classic electro-house with a synth brass as the lead. Personally, I don’t think this track got the time of day it deserved early last year.

Nightcrawlers – Push The Feeling On

I had to take it back to the ’90s. We always have to remember EDM started early and evolved significantly over the years. This classic has been rocking clubs across the world for just over two decades now and probably won’t ever die out. Numerous other artists have sampled this beat over the years, most notoriously Pitbull for his track, “Hotel Room.” Anyway, this original track from 1992 is absolutely worth adding to your ’90s playlist.
